Dr. David Bruce McMahan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Argent Funds Group of Companies and is also the Controlling General Partner and Chief Executive Officer of McMahan Securities Co. L.P.

As Co-Founder and Chairman of the National Cristina Foundation (NCF), McMahan leads a non-profit organization with more than 400 worldwide affiliations.  Its mission is to support the international development of technology applications for people with special needs. The Foundation originated the concept of technology reuse in 1983 and specializes in redistributing computers and other electronic hardware from corporations and individuals who have outgrown the technology and making them available to those in need.

McMahan’s on-going activities with the NCF include a 1986 agreement made with the China Disabled Persons Federation which has resulted in the introduction of computer technology for the use of students with disabilities in Beijing and Baoji.  This project is helping to establish NCF models for wider distribution of computers to people with disabilities throughout China.  Companion schools for the pilot program in Beijing include venues in the United States who serve similar populations.  They, in turn, exchange information with and provide guidance to their NCF linked partners in China.   As a result of his efforts, McMahan was appointed Honorary Technical Advisor to the China Fund for the Handicapped Chaired by Deng Pufong, the eldest son of Den Xiopeng.

McMahan’s interest in China is far reaching.  He was the Initiator and Co-Managing Underwriter of a $350 million initial public offering of Shandong Huaneng Power Development Co. Ltd., the first directly-listed Chinese company to reach the New York Stock Exchange.  He served for 21 years on the Board of Directors and various other posts with The National Committee on United States - China Relations.

McMahan’s long commitment on behalf of the disabled includes serving on President Regan’s National Advisory Board on Technology and The Disabled, Chairman of Maryland Governor William Schaefer's Chief Executive Officer Council on Employment of the Disabled and as Chairman, Securities Industry Fund Raising for AHRC (Association For the Help of Retarded Children, New York Chapter).  His fund raising efforts were among the most successful ever conducted by the AHRC.

The McMahan Center - Abilities Activists, a nonprofit Bermuda based foundation, is involved with various international projects that help people learn to use their own range of abilities.  These include projects in Brazil, Ireland, Germany and Cambodia, among others.

McMahan’s many charitable humanitarian efforts extend beyond the disabled community. He mandated the use of the McMahan Securities corporate jet to provide relief to victims of Hurricane Katrina as well as delivering doctors and medical supplies in the first hours. McMahan has also sponsored the documentary, Bare Hands and Wooden Limbs, about former Khmer Rouge commanders who fled Cambodia after years of forced labor and their unique collaboration to improve the lives of a village of landmine survivors.

For his many charitable efforts, McMahan has received international recognition.  He was the second American to be awarded a distinguished Honorary Professorship by the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing.  The Maryland State Board of Education passed a resolution recognizing his generous support and continuous commitment to disabled persons in the State of Maryland.  McMahan was also honored as Humanitarian of the Year from the Maryland Rehabilitation Association and has received the Maryland Governor’s Corporate Sponsorship Award.

McMahan began his professional career in finance in 1961, trading convertible securities and then moved on to manage private investment portfolios in Southern California. He was Managing Director of Genesis, SA, a European-based investment group specializing in convertible securities management on behalf of Swiss and American investors.  In 1975, McMahan created the National Institutional Options Department at Paine Webber, Inc., and went on to head the Institutional and Retail Options Sales Department at Bear Stearns & Co. where he became a Partner. In September, 1980, he started predecessor organizations to McMahan Securities Co. L.P.

As National Association of Securities Dealers licensed Principal, McMahan is a member of the American Stock Exchange and is a Securities and Exchange Commission registered Broker-Dealer.

The father of nine children, he resides in Pelham Manor, NY.

MARLON KIRBY
Biography
Designer & Driver
Maxximus G-Force, The World’s Fastest Car

Marlon Kirby has vast experience building hot rods and high performance engines over many years for a variety of clients.  One of his specialties is building stock spec Ultima GTR’s.   While working as a chauffeur, he met philanthropist and businessman Dr. David B. McMahan and the two discussed their love of fast cars and their shared dream of owning a one-of-a-kind car that was unique, street legal, and a record breaker.  McMahan agreed to finance the building and design of the Maxximus G-Force, the first car Kirby would design completely from scratch.  The two enthusiasts wondered whether the current structure of the Ultima GTR could be altered for even greater power and performance with one goal in mind; to develop the world’s fastest, street legal supercar.

Maxximus Technologies was founded by Kirby in 2000, in Indianapolis, and for a few years, he worked on other people's cars.  But Kirby never gave up on the idea of building a car of his own, a car that would show the world his skills as a designer. This was accomplished on October 7th 2008 at the Rockingham NC Raceway, where the Maxximus, driven by Kirby, broke three world records

Kirby began his designs for the Maxximus on paper, working out various problems in his mind. To transform an Ultima GTR into a Maxximus, one must press the reset button on the entire drivetrain and a good portion of the chassis.  This is no easy task, requiring hundreds of hours of custom fabrication because the ease of using a Porsche G-50 transmission is no longer an option. A further challenge involved moving the engine to sit in further on the chassis. This is necessary in order for the Maxximus to harness over 1,600 hp, something the stock Ultima GTR chassis and drive train are not capable of handling. About a dozen people with different specializations worked on the car over a period of two years, in places as far flung as the U.K., California, Indiana, Virginia, and Maryland.  Kirby's low profile and relative obscurity enabled him to keep his design a secret.

Kirby and his wife Stephanie are the parents of two children.  They reside in Indianapolis.
