Los Angeles, Ca., March 4, 2009 – To commemorate the March 7th grand re-opening of The Royal Hawaiian, a Starwood Luxury Collection Resort, Andrew Freedman Public Relations has secured a coterie of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces to celebrate the unveiling of the iconic properties $110 million dollar refurbishment. Located on famed Waikiki Beach, the magnificent Art Deco structure known as “the pink Palace of the Pacific” will roll out the red carpet for stars Heather Graham (Boogie Nights, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Bobby) Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Ginnifer Goodwin (He’s Just Not That Into You, Walk The Line, HBO’s Big Love) Jennifer Esposito (Crash, Samantha Who?,Rescue Me) Justin Long (He’s Just Not That Into You, Zack & Miri Make a Porno) and Hawaii native Darin Brooks (Days of Our Lives Emmy nominee) among others.
Built in 1927, the fabled resort has always enjoyed a close relationship with many Hollywood dignitaries. In 1954, Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio honeymooned at the iconic resort. Other notable guests have included Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, and Babe Ruth. Business titans Nelson Rockefeller and Henry Ford II enjoyed stays at the resort as well. Former President Franklin D. Roosevelt conducted Presidential business from The Royal Hawaiian, making it the first facility to be dubbed “The Western White House.”
