Eartha Kitt Receives Second Consecutive Daytime Emmy Win For Her Work On The Popular Animated Series ‘Disney's The Emperor's New School’

For the second consecutive year, the legendary Eartha Kitt has received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her role on Disney’s The Emperor’s New School, airing on The Disney Channel. Ms. Kitt portrays the voice of ‘Yzma The Evil Advisor’ on the popular animated series for which she also received a 2007 Annie Award for Best Vocal Performance in an Animated Television Production.

Eartha Kitt continues to enjoy a remarkable career that incorporates film, theater, cabaret, television and music. Nominated for three Tony Awards and two Grammys, Ms. Kitt recently completed a sold-out run at London’s Pagalle Club as well as a performance at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. She continues to appear at New York’s Café Carlyle, one of the venue’s most popular attractions, receiving rave reviews in sold out performances. In addition, Ms. Kitt’s upcoming schedule includes performances with symphony orchestras around the country, including Phoenix, Virgina, Minnesota and Massachusetts, to name a few. She was also the recipient of a 2001 Annie Award for Best Vocal Performance in an Animated Feature for her role in Disney’s animated feature The Emperor’s New Groove.
